I have just moved to the UK can I work in a school?
We have a very strict compliance process and part of this is being able to reference work experience within the UK. Unfortunately if you have no work experience within the UK we will not be able to place you in a school due to our safeguarding policies.
I can't find a job that suits me on your website, what should I do?
Yes! We can’t always list all our open jobs on our website due to the fast nature of filling them, so if you cannot find something suitable for you then please contact us and we can talk you through some more opportunities.
Do I need experience to work in a school?
No, you don’t need experience to work in a school. We work with you to train you and provide you with the skills you need to be able to perform in your role. Alongside this we look for people with a number of different backgrounds outside of a school environment to work in specific roles.
Can you help me become a teacher?
Unfortunately we can’t help you become a teacher but we can help you with relevant school experience to prepare you for becoming a teacher.
How old do I need to be to work in a school?
You need to be over 18 years old and out of full-time education to be able to work in a school through Together Teaching. Unfortunately we will not be able to register you before your 18th birthday.
What locations do you cover?
We cover a number of locations across the North West of England including: Cheshire East, Cheshire West, Greater Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Blackpool and Blackburn. If you are based anywhere else in the UK please get in touch as we are continuously expanding our network.
How long does it take to be ready to go out for work?
The amount of time it takes to get each person clear for work varies depending on a number of factors such as if you need a Enhanced DBS check but on average we clear someone in 1-2 weeks. It is important that you are responsive during this time to avoid any delays.
What type of staff do you work with?
We working with any staff member that works in a school. Some of the staff members that we work with are: Teaching Assistants, Teachers, Caretakers, Administrators, Senior Leaders and more.
